The Many Moods of Crisps

Did you know that our factory churns out over 7million packets of crinkle cut crisps every week? That’s because we supply the nation with a cool 21 (yes, 21!) different flavours in our regular, Hot & Spicy and Goodbye salt Hello flavour ranges.

Obviously all of our flavours are best sellers, and we know which ones sell best in which regions (in the lakes, Sea Salted are tops, the Scots are partial to Beefy and our Caramelised Onion and Wasabi flavours are a hit in London).

However, we wanted to know how people’s mood affected their choice of flavour, so we asked our clever followers on Twitter

When asked what flavour people turn to cheer them up, they said Pickled Onion was the perfect pick (led)-me-up… oh dear. ‘Cheer & Onion’ also came up. Tomato Ketchup and Canadian Ha-ha-Ham and were also popular choices.

OK, on to crisps for an ‘adventurous mood’. We had Wasabi, ‘Sea Assault Course & Vinegar’ (we kid you not) and Hot & Spicy Mustard flavour…no surprises there then. Somebody also told us that they thought Canadian Ham was quirky (why not honey roast??).

On to comfort flavours. Beefy came top by far (we agree!!) and Prawn Cocktail was definitely a contender (seems to have the nostalgia factor, which folk take great comfort from).

And finally, the dreaded crispy hangover cure. Sea Salted & Vinegar or good old Sea Salted apparently does the trick. We wouldn’t know about that …;).

Tell us what your ‘pick me up’, ‘adventurous’ and ‘comfort’ flavours are. Silly answers accepted.
